EW.Com "25 Greatest Active Film Directors"

Most of you know that I try to post a weekly article called "The Filmmakers." The point of this post is to find at least one director/ filmmaker for each letter of the alphabet that I like and hold as a quality filmmaker. As of late, I have failed at that task...But I have an article I have to share with you. Hopefully, it will inspire me to finish what I have started. /film lead me to this Entertainment Weekly's list of 25 Greatest Active Film Directors.

My Review

Source Material: Original Story by
David Bourla

Acting and Dialogue: C+,
Djimon Hounsou, Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans, Camilla Belle out of that list in my opinion Djimon Hounsou holds his weight.

Art Direction: C, the portrayal of the powers via VFX was good.

Cinematography: C, quality crap, good for what it is but crap in the world of cinematography.

Direction: C, Somewhat slow, developmental issues with the story.

Sound and Music: C-, not really that great.

VFX: C good
portrayal of the powers, like the different spin on "classic powers"

Overall: C, Amazing concept but horrible execution.
