My Review

Source Material: Death Race is loosely based on Death Race 2000, a movie that is the love child of the cartoon “Wacky Races” and the video game “Spy Hunter”. As a remake Death Race has become more like video game “Twisted Metal”

Action: Amazing: This movie is very action packed. It will keep your attention for the whole hour and half. There is a lot of explosions and carnage. Death Race is very much a guy movie.

Acting and Dialogue: Common: It has great one-liners but besides that the dialogue is very poor, but what do you expect from a testosterone driven film: hot chicks, fast cars, guns a blazing, explosions.

Direction: Common: Paul W.S. Anderson is known for his video game adaptation. Even thought this isn’t based off a video game it comes off like a video game. It kind of reminded me of the video game Twisted Metal.”

Sound: Brilliant: The sound not only helps the effects in the film but holds it own as a separate element.

Special and Visual FX: Brilliant: The effects are what brings the action and sound together. There is a lot of realism that when into the making of Death Race

Overall: C+
